Brett Kean is in line to be the back up quarterback this year and will see some playing time along the way.

#7 Brett Kean – 6’1″ 209 lbs. – Sophomore – Quarterback – Lakewood, OH (St. Edward HS)

2016: Kean appeared in 8 games last year, going 18 for 26 for 129 yards with two touchdowns and an interception (he can also run a bit).

Recruiting history: Kean was a 3-star recruit with offers from WKU, Ohio, and Akron among others. In his junior year, he was 180 for 300 for 2810 yards with 32 touchdowns while also running for 11 more (told you, he can run a bit).

2017 projection: While Chris Oladokun will push him, I think Kean will win the back-up job behind Quinton Flowers. Kean has a strong arm and can run a bit as well. I hope he gets some reserve time playing this year and continues his maturation, getting ready to possibly take over the job next season.
